Mid-East States Affiliated Print Competition and Exhibition

Dayton, OH – (Your Name) of (your studio) in (your town) recently competed in the Mid East States Affiliated Print Competition hosted by the Professional Photographers of Ohio at the Dayton convention Center in downtown Dayton, Ohio.

(Your name)  was one of the 210 photographers entered in the five-state regional competition.  Each photographer is permitted to enter four prints (here mention the scores and awards that your prints have earned).

Our of the 802 submitted for judging, only 265 were selected to be awarded Blue Ribbons from all categories.  By earning a Blue Ribbon at the Mid East States Affiliated Print Competition, the photographer will earn a Merit when the print is submitted to the International Print Competition of the Professional Photographers of America, Inc. (PPA).

After earning 25 Merits, a photographer may earn his/her “Master of Photography” degree from the PPA.

Professional photographers who hold a minimum of a Master of Photography degree judged the event.  These judges arrived from throughout the United States for this regional competition.  The competition consists of entries from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, and is one of the largest print competitions in the country.

While (your name) participated in competition, they were also able to attend the 55th Annual convention and Trade Show of the Professional Photographers of Ohio which is held in conjunction with the Mid-East States Affiliated Print Competition and Exhibition.  This year the convention offered numerous programs and demonstrations presenting new techniques and trends in today’s photography.  More than 160 trade exhibits featured the latest in photographic, digital and computer equipment as well as framing, props and backgrounds utilized in today’s industry.
