About Jon Allyn
For over thirty years, Jon Allyn has been fascinated with light. His ability to create and control the subtle qualities of light has defined his unique style of illustrative portraiture. Jon contends that “the Illustrative Portrait takes the viewer beyond the initial glance to a visual response that provokes interaction on an emotional level”.
His powerful images and artistic figure studies have earned him countless awards including PPA’s Imaging Excellence Award, nineteen Photographer-of-the-Year honors, most recently PPA Diamond and was honored at PPA’s Grand Imaging ceremony for his illustrative work.
As a popular speaker for over two decades, Jon has shared his passion for photography through educational and entertaining programs. His 2004 induction into the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association’s Hall of Fame and the CameraCraftsmen of America were both milestones in his continuing quest for excellence.
