Speaker Bio

Mike Price turned his part-time hobby into a full-time business 14 years ago. Prior to expanding Fairfield Photography into a full-time career, Mike worked in Corporate America for over 25 years in various IT leadership roles in project management, consulting, and sales. Mike’s life experience in selling information technology solutions and services has given Mike a powerful advantage in creating a customer service business that produces award winning images. Mike holds a Bachelors degree in Applied Science and a Masters degree in Business Administration. Based in Pickerington Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, Mike is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America, Board Member of the Professional Photographers of Ohio, and a two-time President of the Professional Photographers of Central Ohio. He speaks regularly to fellow photographers to improve our craft and their business acumen. 18 months ago, Mike made the decision to pivot his business away from sports Team and Individual photography and focus on Corporate Headshot and Executive Portrait photography with the goal of driving more than 50% of his revenue from this line of business.

Program Description

Corporate photography is a great line of business that is primarily Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm work. For those already maxing out their evening and weekend schedule with activities for business projects and family time, "day shift" business opportunities are a great way to add revenue that doesn't compete with existing work. Eighteen months ago, Mike made the strategic decision to redirect his business to appeal to corporate clients and has had great success photography anywhere from 1 to 180 headshots in a single project. Come to this program to learn some of the best practices for attracting and delivering on corporate headshot business. Mike has spent hours experimenting with lighting, workflow, automation, and sales approaches that let me do more projects with less effort.
