Image Competition
There’s no better way to hone your skills than putting your images to the test in a photo competition evaluated by trained jurors who evaluate images against a set of 12 elements. The jurors review your image and provide you with constructive feedback, so you know just where and how to improve!
PPO is the jumping off point for print competition at the state level. We have multiple print competitions each year using PPA Approved Jurors and Jurors-in-Training to get the most valuable feedback possible before submitting to PPA’s Merit Image Review (MIR) and International Photographic Competition (IPC). Our members include Master Photographers and Master Artists who have medaled during IPC as well as placed at IPC’s Grand Imaging Awards. They are always happy to mentor and encourage others entering image competition.
PPO attempts to run their competition as close to MIR rules as possible to give our members the experience and comfort they need to compete at the higher levels for their degrees. However, rules change almost every year so it is important that competitors read the rules for every competition they enter.
